This paper proposed wavelet-based design using Discrete Wavelet Transform to compress smart grid electrical signals and reduce noise. For the Smart Grid’s smooth functioning, power signal must be monitored, proper actions taken quickly for any abnormality. The compressed data takes less time communicate disturbances. is tested phasor measurement unit, which monitors records status of hence circulating extensive utilities, control centers, etc. It also load voltage data. Effective compression can cost storage transmission.
